I would just like to thank all the people who have posted about Morokanth. I
ran the Thumbquest yesterday with my players as the opponents. (actually the
male PC was the opponent and the two females were given sanctuary from the
conflict by Eiritha (or was it just a priestess, or a morokanth or Mother
Theresa?). The morokanth was an old enemy of the players and sought to gain not
only thumbs but also to slay his foe. Well essentially that was his ruin, the PC
only lost the race. He was a worse cheat than the morokanth. In the end Waha
granted Sigwulf the brains and manhood of the morokanth as gifts (INT and CON),
which Sigwulf ate (incidentally not the right course of action, so it only had a
minimal effect).
As the morkanth's supporters broke their ring the characters returned to the
plains, both women had bloated stomachs from the bounty they wolfed down (one
fears that she is pregnant). In the centre of the clearing was the morokanth
questor, deprived of wits and manhood he bleated like an animal. At the sight of
this a lone morokanth walked in with a big stick and put him out of his misery.
I won't go into why Sigwulf and Cassir nearly choked to death at a hyena's
laugh.
>It was asked how hyenas stand the morokanth, to become their dogs, well I have
the morokanth hunters worship Hyena the spirit cult, which creates a strong bond
between the creatures. I think that this spirit cult will be written up in
TotRM#15, with my hyena mask illustration aswell.
