The description of Gbaji's curse in Troll Gods (which I haven't read in
some time, so this might not be accurate) has the collected troll
deities easily defeat Gbaji, only for him to reappear next to Korasting
and damage her womb.
To me this is why all the troll heroquesters have failed to break the
curse: they go for the head on "kill Gbaji" approach and fail miserably
as above. Gbaji, being subtle chaos, was far too clever for that.
