On the question of alcohol: I reckon only the strong, distilled stuff is inherently magical. Why do you think they call it "spirits"???

What gets a troll drunk is eating dwarves, I believe. But the interesting troll drinks mentioned previously are described in loving detail in "Troll Realms".
