>I am interested in the islands of Teleos, Loral and Kumanku, for a
>seafaring campaign of mine.

Loral is the Monster Isles. Think Kong. Think Jurassic Park. Think Godzilla. There is a 72 headed pyrohydra on one of the Isles according to Elder Secrets. There are humans on Loral but they are primitives who worship the monsters. They would be only too happy to show you an inside view of their Gods. These humans are related to the more civilized people on the Elf Coasts. This is because Loral is the original homeland of the Masloi but they left because of the Monsters when they were able to.

I have heard the God Learners managed to tame these Isles and expel the Monsters, but when the closing struck the Monsters came back. So there are bound to be God Learner ruins there to entice your PC's to a horrible death.

Kumanku is inhabited by Fonritans save that it has a high proportion of Timinits. It's described in Heros v1 #6 but only briefly. There are two major isles: Tenenku and M'Gokokchun. Tenenku holds most of the population and it has a capital called Tenenku. This is said to be a metropolis in size. M'Gokokchun is 'inhabited by a few humans and a teeming mass of insect people'.

The Isles of Kumanku were cut off from Mainland Fonrit by the Closing and 'its cities fell into disrepair. Now, its people struggle to keep their peculiar ways alive against the influx of foreign beliefs'.

Based on this, I think Kumanku is run by an Oligarchy who has some mastery over the Tinimits. The Tinimits (Myrmidrons) are used to keep their subjects in check. As a result of Opening, the rulers have herded most of their urban subjects into the Hivelike City of Tenenku where they can be monitored for signs of foreign contamination. I think some of the hidden rulers show insectoid features themselves. Tenenku trades with the outside world through ports closed off from the rest of the nation and any outsider found on the Islands is probably killed.

>I know that Teleos is mainly yellow elf forest, with some dragonewts. I
>have also heard that it is surrounded by typhoons most of the year round.
>However, I have also heard thet the humans there come in six or so colours,
>any more details as to how or why?

The people of Teleos were originally of 'Kralori' stock. They ran a vicious pirate civilisation that not even the Waertagi could deal with them. They speak a language that is related to Teshnan and there is some sort of tradition that Teleos was the centre of the world.

When they were conquered by the God Learners, the whole place came under control of the Grand Vizier of the Soul Pearl. Insert usual resplendant God Learner Civilisation here.

I think that when the Closing was about to strike, they consulted omens and found out that every gold-skin and red-skin must die. So they weaved a great magic to change the skin color of all the inhabitants so that the Closing would spare them. They split themselves into groups of six and weaved the magic such that any pregnancy could only come about as a result of cross-color couplings. But Trickster wriggled his nose and all the colors hate each other for strange reasons (like the Greens are hated for eating frog's legs - which prompts comparsions with the EU). They can't destroy each other for the cross-color couplings would suddenly produce kids of the loosing color.

As a result of their continual fighting which destroyed the remants of their High Civilisation, the Yellow Elves spread out of control and enveloped the whole Island. I'm uncertain of exactly how the Dragonewts actually fit into the Teleosan culture - they might worship them or use them as beasts of burden. The 'newts claim kinship with the Mottled One of the Homeward Ocean.

All IMO
