Must be those horned helmets from the Dragon pass game... My take on the Orlanthi of DP is more Anglo-Saxon/Viking, while the farther from "civilization" you go, they become more like ancient Britons or Gauls.

I'd like to point out that "furor celtica" was felt much later than the Roman era. The British government troops had trouble with the Highland Charge, and the Southern "Rebel Yell" is a remnant of the furor celtica.

The British were able to devise a defense to the Highland usage of shields (bayonet the fellow to the *right* of the guy in front of you) and yet, the Highlanders were able to rout British Regulars right up until Culloden - and even there it was touch and go for a while.

The Furor is both Fanaticism & Demoralize, it's just that when used against another Orlanthi, they cancel out!
