While I am generally staying out of the evil-Lunar/good-Orlanthi argument, the reference to Imther impells me to write -

As far as I can tell, the Lunar Empire has had very little to do with shaping the "traditional" structure of Imtherian society. The country folk worshipped Khelmal as the leader of the gods long before Hwarin Dalthippa came along. And as far as I know, no native Imtherian worships Orlanth, and none ever did. (An Air god named Orlantio does have a small number of worshippers, but Orlantio is considered to _be_ Orlanth only by those who insist on rigid monomyths and/or One True Set of Gods. grin)
