        That's not a bad idea; my Wednesday RQ group has been doing pretty
much the same thing by creating a bank of NPCs via email. Why not store a bank of NPCs on the web?

        It would probably be best to set up a standard ASCII format in advance, and make it available to anyone who wants it. I have a sample form that might work. One suggestion: it might be a nice idea to attach the creator's name to each character.

        The wide variety of systems and versions of RQ used to run Glorantha (as David Dunham pointed out) might be a problem, however. Perhaps characters could be represented in standard RQ3 terms? That would at least make conversion comparatively straightforward. It would handicap sorcerers, of course.

        On a completely different note, several people who've requested my "3 Flowers" scenario have asked if I've done anything else. Several years ago I offered "The Grey Company" to the Digest; I guess that a lot of new people have come online since. "TGC" is a set of scenarios designed to start a campaign, encourage diverse PCs to work together, and provide continuing plot complications. It's set in Pavis, and is in ASCII format. If anyone would like a copy, drop me a line.

        I also have a Rune-based sorcery system for RQ. It's extremely free-form, but attempts to retain a sort of Runic logic to it. If anyone feels like trying it out (or just reading it), it's also available in ASCII.

                                                                -->Pete
