Calendars/Cragspider

Having seen the recent posts on calendars, especially the Theyalan 5 season calendar, has anyone seen the First Age Dara Happan Year? If not, here is a quick description:

1 week = 10 days (the 10 Solar Gods, whoever they are). 1 Season = 7 Weeks + 1 Holy Day.
Week 4 in a season has 11 days - 1 extra day "Sunday", a Holy day, in between day 5 and 6.
1 Sacred Week at the end of the year (who says that Dara Happa does not have a Sacred Time).

So, one year has 71x4 + 10 = 294 days.

Apparently, on Season 3, Sunday the weather gets bad and Season 4, week 2 the weather becomes changeable.

Unfortunately, the version that I have does not have names for seasons, weeks or days and is only a sketch. Does anyone have any extensions including names of days etc? As a matter of interest, why did the Dara Happans abandon this calendar, or did they actually keep it? It seems to me that the Dara Happans use the Theyalan Calendar based on the 5 weather seasons, but may well use the 10-day calendar for ritual reasons. It seems odd that such a conservative people would abandon a calendar which is obviously based on ritual or religious time rather than the observed seasons. Any ideas anyone?

Does anyone have any information on my favourite Gloranthan character - Cragspider the Firewitch?

I know that she was a Hag who seduced Larnste away from populating the Blue Moon Plateau during GodTime, that she was a member of the First Council and the Broken Council, that she befriended the Black Dragon, has gained mastery over Fire and Drakness and created the Great Trolls in her attempt to break the Curse of Kin.

What I don't know is:
When did she become a Troll and why is she only a Dark Troll and not a Mistress Race Troll?
How did she gain her Fire powers and what was her HeroQuest? How did she befriend the Black Dragon? (Is this Nysalor's Companion?) How did she become an Avatar of Arachne Solara and what was her HeroQuest? Who is the Black Warlock who was killed beside her when Cliffhome was sacked during the Fourth Age?
Was she always associated with the cult of Aranea, or is this a comparitively recent association?

Maybe I've missed something, but I can't find these answers anywhere in the Gloranthan material that I have access to. Perhaps someone with far greater knowledge can help?

Martin Crim: Sorry about the name thing, your son must be very advanced - perhaps I saw him in twenty years time contributing to the Digest.

Sorry to those who thought I was whingeing before - I wasn't really. It's just that I don't much like people being slapped down for no reason (that's not a whinge, by the way). In my opinion, there is no excuse for personal attacks or continual sniping here or anywhere else, so I'll just shut up about it forevermore.

By the way, can anyone who played me in the Nomad Gods tournament in Convulsions send me their address (Simon Braithwaite, Frank Hill and Colin (?)) Frank wanted some information and I don'e have his address.

Cheerio

Simon
