John Brown:

Disagrees with Nick that the Red Moon is part of the Cosmic Compromise.

>In KoS in the Battle of Castle Blue story in the Orlanthi mythology part,
>it seems to me what the Red Goddess got was just recognition as a divine
>being. I don't think this is the same as being a part of the compromise.

I was unaware of Dormal being required to submit to a trial by combat before being recognized by the Orlanthi as a god. This invalidates the Orlanthi belief in KoS that 'New Gods are Bad' IMO.

>After all, it is common knowledge that the Red Goddess dwells on the
>Moon which is on the mundane plane. I think this clearly violates the
>Compromise.

What about the Sun (Yelm), the Sea (Manthi) and the Wind (Orlanth)? They dwell on the mundane plane without violating the Compromise. The same charge could also be leveled (with some justice) at Harrek the Berserk...
