Vadel = Devil?

Simon Hibbs asks:

> Who else thinks that the Laws of Vadel are twistedly opposite to the
> Laws of Malkion?

"In fact, the Book of Vadel is the Book of Malkion, word for word, only written backwards! Its ink is the blood of murdered children, and its parchment their flayed skins! Vile, oh vile are the Devil-spawned race of the Vadeli!"

I *loved* Peter Metcalfe's shit golem, BTW. Definitely true IMG! And Simon's Rokari smear ("Hrestol learned of caste progression from the Vadeli"), though of course since the Rokari hold Hrestol in high esteem as the Second Prophet they would say that he *piously* refused to use this unwholesome knowledge; only his weaker successors in Loskalm, bereft of moral guidance, have slipped into that unholy error.

Is Chaos an Element?

Consider:

Darkness is the "first" element, and is associated with Inside and Outside, the first duality (the Mother of Demons and the Father of Space).

Water is the "second" element, divided triply into Body, Mind and Spirit (Sramak/e, Daliath and Framanthe).

Earth is the "third" element and has Four Corners (Gata, Empress Earth, Earth Witch and Genert).

Air is the "fourth" element and there are Five Sons of Umath (Kolat, Storm Bull, Vadrus, Humakt and Orlanth).

Fire is the "fifth" element and has six manifestations (the High and Low manifestations of Holy, Work and Homefire: Dayzatar, Yelm and Lodril; Oakfed, Gustbran and Mahome).

Moon is the "sixth" element and has Seven Mothers.

Is something Primal perhaps missing from the start of this list? :-)
