Conversations and Plots with Greg Stafford & myself provide the following definitions

In Glorantha, a "spirit" is an entity which lacks a permanent physical body. Living beings have spirits within them, which think, feel, cast spells, and sometimes survive after death.

        Depending on which definition is more useful to your purpose, the "soul" of a living creature is either ...

                or -- the spirit of a living or formerly living creature, as opposed to spirits which are not now and have never been alive (like elementals)

                or -- (for rules lawyers) your POW, as opposed to your Magic Points. Absence of POW indicates soulless-ness.
