There are comments that Glorantha does things by 7s. I have no idea
where this came from, unless it is the Seven Lightbringers and the
Seven Mothers. But there are Seven Mothers precisely because there
_were_ Seven Lightbringers. In addition, there were more than Seven
Lightbringers.
But ... nonetheless I like the idea of a missing element. Here are my
two suggestions for the absentees.
- This element existed before the Great Darkness. Chaos
managed to totally extirpate it, so not even its memory remains.
Unless there is a little teensy fragment somewhere ... Or perhaps
there is a secret fifth Young Elemental (Lunar magic) who is of this
element (which presumably came between Dark and Water, or Water and
Sky, or something), and they're not telling anyone about it.
- This element was destined to come, and to follow Storm,
but the advent of the Gods War and the Dawn intervened and creation
was unable to continue. So the new element(s) wait their birth,
perhaps to be triggered by some outside force.
