Chris Pearce reminded me of some facts regarding Melo Yelo's acceptance
into the Cult of Yelmalio:
Although Sunsight gave Melo Contest -- and Melo passed -- Sunsight
eventually reneged on his word and refused to initiate Melo.
About two seasons later, Naiya appeared before Ironpike with her
companions. Ironpike granted each a boon for destroying the Wyrm's
Friends Vampire:
- Bloodletter the Bull requested an enchantment for his ax. Bloodletter
later lost his ax and his soul and settled with his wife in Garhound,
got fat, and raised his children.
- Wahakin request four bars of iron which he took back to his tribe.
Wahakin later became a shaman and retired to the Wastes to purify his
spirit.
- Gar-ent (a Lokarnos initiate) requested admission into the Cult of
Yelmalio. He was later executed by Ironpike for gross incompetence.
- Naiya requested that Ironpike honor Sunsight's promise to initiate
Melo Yelo into the Cult. This request caused Ironpike a great deal of
discomfort since it was imminently unexpected. Unable to refuse, he
honored Sunsight's word and initiated Melo Yelo. Sunsight was retired.
Naiya spent some time in Pavis working for Sor-Eel, then spent a few
seasons at Kinope's Shrine, then moved to Horngate were she spent
several seasons tending the Oasis People.
Them's are the facts as I knows 'em.
