Joerg Baumgartner:

Joerg claims that Orlanth did not participate in the Battle for Castle Blue and that the battle myth was adapted by the Orlanthi.

Me>>Umm, Orlanth was involved in the battle in the very beginning
>>and so was Urox according to the fortunate succession. Remember
>>the Orlanthi of Heortland got sore heads when the Red Moon rose?

>The Uroxi, you mean? Wasn't this after the battle?

No, Joerg, the people who got sore heads were Orlanthi. Why don't you read the sources instead of picking nits?

KoS p200 speaking of the Orshanti clan:

'One day their chiefs and godi all awoke with headaches.
They looked to the North and there for the first time they
saw the great orb of the Red Moon. No-one except the Godi
knew what it was, until the assemblies met and the woeful
tale was told - that Chaos had once again risen in the north
and that Orlanth had been wounded'

To forestall Joerg from claiming that this was after the battle, p52 of the Fortunate Succession of the same battle:

'Even foreigners found excuses to become engaged. The
barbarian Orlanthi claimed the Goddess was evil, the Warlord
of Chargg said it was his duty to fight chaos, and even the
blue men worshipping YarGan the Abominable came up from
underneath the sweet sea to fight'

And that Karsten Fardrosson, a holy man who dwelt near Castle Blue attempted the Lightbringer's Quest but failed according to p164 of KoS. This would make him an Orlanthi IMHO.

It's interesting that the Pelorian Orlanthi fight the Goddess because she is 'evil' and not because she is chaos. The Warlord of Chargg is probably an Uroxi.
