>John and Michael -

Actually i can't take much credit for the calendar, and i presume John included my name out of generosity for making some comments.

>One question: why do the folk of Farpoint specifically hunt badgers and

Otters are hunted for their fantastic fur. Badgers are hunted for their brain and heart, which give the hunter a share of the badger's wisdom when eaten.

The alynxes of Far Point are bigger, fiercer and more intelligent than elsewhere, for much of this area is sacred to Yinkin, and they may have driven away some of their competitors like the mountain lion.

There is a myth around here that Yinkin sheltered a few survivors from the Dragonkill in the gors and gallt of the uplands, and that they stayed there during the inhuman ocupation, protected by their totem.

The fact that there is a small clan devoted almost entirely to Yinkin lends some credence to this myth.
