A few corrections to Martin's post on Jeff's LARP:

Namold Treebrother - Clan Chief, was played by Andrew Mellinger of Portland, Oregon. (I think Andrew Behan lives in Ireland?)

Tomo, Kato, and Rosie played the clan alynxes, and revealed undiscovered aspects of Yinkin: Dropped Potatochip Finder and Hornet Hunter.

What I learned:

Lismelder began very neutral, but when her brother Erland murdered her huband Frodi, Lismelder's overriding goal became killing Erland. The clan rapidly split into those who wanted war with the Colymar and those who wanted peace, revenge within the clan, or not to be led by a particularly vicious Humakti (Erland). Both sides quickly became adept at manipulating the Humakti champion, Indrodar Greydog, into killing their enemies for them. Unfortunately, Indrodar was the only one slain as a result of these plots!

Finally, Mad Blood Malan, frustrated that we couldn't forget our personal vengance agendas, threatened to slay us all and wipe out the tribe. (He was a Humakti, too!) This, of course, easily convinced Lismelder that taking her follwers over to the Colymar was a wonderful option - even if their "basements would be damp", as David Dunham put it. (The Lismelder tribe settled on the edge of Delecti's Marsh.)

A very nice little LARP, written by Jeff RIchard.

And Sandy - I really liked your summary of what the RQ rules add to a roleplaying world - ie, more emphasis on the "little guy" and tactics, and less on "heroes" and accumulating big numbers. (The latter certainly can be done, but it seems to be more difficult than in other systems.) Hurrah!

Pam
