Well, the thing is none of the purification quests are easy and none of them are even possible (IMHO) if the subject doesn't want to be purified. You do not get "Round up them broos into the purification vat, Einar. We'll have them converted by sunup!"

I don't know that they are as fanatical as that. Or as stupid.
