Perhaps its worth remembering that it is all a game and personal hack

add to the enjoyment. Disagree with other posters by all means, but
lets make sure
that the list does not degenerate into a flame war.
Your other point is taken, they largely inherited their Calendars...
However, I believe that Gloranthans know the "exact" length of the
year.
I think it is a bit more definite than a seemingly arbitrary number of
days
taken to orbit a large, heavy mass of burning gas.
