Rune Masters & RQ

        I have to apologize for not quoting and responding to everyone who has discussed Rune Masters in response to my request, but I'm running short on time.

        All of the points made were excellent, and I really appreciate the thought that went into them. If the closest thing to a Rune Master under RQIII is a Rune Lord/Acolyte, however, the situation is still somewhat restricted. Since the requirements for an acolyte are the same as for priests, a Rune Lord cannot become one. However, I suppose that it would be possible for an Acolyte to then become a Rune Lord.

        On the other hand, my instinct is to agree with those who suggest allowing a character to become a Rune Master under special circumstances.

        On the RQ front, it's good to hear that RQ isn't dead. However, I can't help but be concerned about what the ever-uncommunicative Avalon Hill is planning to do with it. The lurking fear is that they'll decide to keep it entirely in-house...Dobyski leaps to mind...

        Personally, I'd find a searchable CD-ROM of the system to be an outstandingly useful item. The same goes for Glorantha -- a searchable database with scalable, printable maps would be great! Particularly if one level of resolution was the right size to use as battle maps for miniatures. In fact, why not go all the way and create a bunch of neat documents to be printed out as props? The Gobbleguts menu and the Big Rubble form could be just the start.

        Okay, guess I've fantasized enough for today...

-->Pete
