        Don't forget how sorcery works, though - sorcery with Duration (or Maintain for those using something other than RQ3) lends itself very well to pumping yourself up well in advance of battle.

        Of course, according to the rules unenchanted iron armour only makes spells difficult to CAST though, it does nothing to already cast spells. So maybe the answer is simply that the knights get themselves powered up well ahead of battle (that morning or earlier) when they are not in their armour, and then put them armour on after that? Then they can charge in with Damage boosting, Enhanced attributes, Resist whatever etc. AND their unenchanted iron armour. Yikes!
