I think the reason that simple questions may remain unanswered is that sometimes a question produces more than a dozen almost identical replies on the digest (see the rune question, recently). So sometimes I just sit back and wait for other people to reply. And it happens that I don't have an opinion on a topic...

>If YOU are new to RQ and wish (like me) the answer to questions some may

>This way everybody will know that this is a msg from a newbie, problably

>because they are *too* *simple*.

You also can have communication problems. Gloranthomaniacs like me might get lost in describing obscure points important to some esoteric ideas we're discussing right then.

>This way people like those will not need bother even to read it,
>Gloranthaphiles that are willing to waste a few minutes explaining
>something *simple* will do so, and you can get your answers.

>And everybody's happy :)

A while ago I offered a Q&A service for Glorantha questions, based on an index on all things Gloranthan I keep working on (though slowly these days). I am looking for a way to make the index generally available once I am finished with the basics, but for the Web I fear this will include CGI scripts I haven't been able to produce, yet. And I am uncertain about how much published material I may quote, and how many descriptions I have to rewrite, wrt copyright and violation thereof.

My offer to go through my material and reply in private mail still stands. If you aren't satisfied with the service, feel free to complain, or to ask additional questions.

I have experimented a bit with HTML forms, so if you like you can test http://www.toppoint.de/~joe/infoserv.html
