This reminds me of the good old greek philosopher's comment (quite advanced for his time)
"...Teach a man and you will have improved an individual, Teach a woman and you will have improved a race..." The translation may not be perfect, having gone from Greek to French and then English, but the idea is there.
And by the way, talking about "Prima Nocte", the autors of "braveheart" seem to have forgotten that at the time, it was not only a right, but also A DUTY for the lord. And everything was probably OK for the kind of nymphets that the movie describes, but when it was the three 400 pounds daughters of the local Inn-keeper, the "prima nocte" privilege was probably not so attractive. This is possibly one of the reason why it rapidely disappeared from the feudal system.
Can you imagine Duke Raus of Rone performing "Prima Nocte" functions on the daughter of the Morokanth trader, or the centaure tribe in his domain: He will have to subscribe to the lunar equivalent of alt.sex.bestiality. I am sure he would delegate the performance of that interesting tradition to one of his trusted mercenary (aka the PCs...) <evil Gamemaster grin> Frederic
