Multiple GM's

I have, and the effort was a semi-disaster. There were two other GM's, both Glorantha-knowledgeable. One ran terrible games, with no sense of story (the players called one session "the bus tour of Sartar"), and messed up the campaign by giving out too much (and too gross) magic. He also took the opportunity to give his own character some strange and inappropriate benefits. The other GM ran a solid campaign, despite all the complaints people had that he killed their characters whenever they did stupid things.

I suggest having a head GM with veto power. The head GM should be someone who is conservative with character advancement and magic items.
