I did not mention cults myself because the True Name trick was already simulated by the "1d3 per point of Spirit Spell" mechanics of Gloranthan Spellteaching. I like your idea of the spirit of the original Hero being summoned to learn the specialty spell, though. However, it does not explain how the initiate chooses how many points of variable specialty spells he will learn. Unless we use the Spirit Communication mechanics from Vikings for special battle magic, defining of course the exact POW each Hero has. Which I would not dislike.

As for Humakti, it has already been pointed out on this list that Humakt does not necessarily prevent a worshiper from coming back in spirit form. I think however a Humakti could not be summoned without his consent (and Humakt's), but a cult Hero should be willing to teach his spell to good initiates, so this could be done after all.
