Well, according to the rules, if the 'enchantment' is broken, then it ceases to work. There was some speculation here that if an enchantment tatoo was then destroyed, the enchantment would disappear too - want to kill that guy with 40 hit points? stab his enchanting tatoo and they'll all disappear....
To prevent this problem, I assume that anyone who I don't want to be vulnerable this way has multiple tatoos, so that there is reduncancy in the enchanting. The odd GM character might still be, I guess.
