The Shrine to Turnip Boy in Apple Lane was a spontaneous affair that began as a "trophy corner" in the local Earth temple. According to a local legend, Turnip Boy had slain a Dream Dragon armed only with a sharpened turnip, and had then placed the skull of the Dream Dragon, stuffed with turnips, upon a pedestal in that corner of the temple.

It was noticed that the turnips did not rot, and a small sacrifice was made to Turnip Boy in response to the (very) minor miracle. From that point, Apple Lane had its first Turnip Boy follower, and the shrine to Turnip Boy was established.

Other shrines to Turnip Boy must be more conventionally created, requiring permission of a local Solar or Earth hierarch to use their temple and requiring the intercession and rites of a Turnip Boy inititiate of excellent standing in the sub-cult.
