First - Chris can probably come up with all sorts of interesting ideas for the elves of the Elder Wilds without much chance of contradicting anything thats published. What there was was pretty vague. If he has specific questions about them, just let him ask away.

Second - the area is officially a Blank Land. While I think this was a silly idea (done only as some sort of weird compromise to allow Griffon Island, I suspect), officially nothing anyone writes about it can even be official. Griffon Mountain is no longer official - the only reason to prefer it to someone elses point of view is if it is better. However, like Haralds Imther, while it may not be 'official' it is so much more developed, fun, Gloranthan flavoured, etc. that I don't think anyone if going to supercede it anytime soon.

Third - rather than annoying all those of us who have Griffon Mountain, generally regarded as a truely excellent supplement, why not try and build on what has gone before? As it happens, the Elder Wilds in general where documented fairly scarcely other than four or five major sites and a lot of encounters. Almost nothing about the elf community other than its existence (and the nearby, possibly rumoured, vampire), and that it worshipped Yelmalio (and we can presume it probably doesn't worship him by that name anymore). And while those of us who do own Griffon Mountain might not be willing to flagrantly violate copyright, we are certainly willing to summarise useful information to the digest.

Fourth - who knows what might yet resurface on the Chaosium web site in the next year or two, or even make its way into some other product? Rather than making an issue of the Out of Printness of things, why not see what surfaces?

Anyway, lets hear more about elven communities. I think an interesting one to look at would be the Winterwood, the centre of Green elfdom and of the elven reaforrestation project.

        Cheers
