         Note that I said "usually"; the guy in Belle Fourche and the Xiajiang teacher are both exceptions to a general rule. I suspect that their respective mounts would not tolerate other riders as readily as most horses, donkeys, and camels.

          Side note to Pam Carlson on bull riding: Sure I've seen bull riders at rodeos, live and in the flesh. I can't really count holding on for dear life to a madly bucking bovine as true "riding" any more than bungee jumping counts as "flying". Hmm, or should I count the time I got pulled off my feet by a milk cow and dragged several feet as ox cart driving? :)

         Weird thought : In Glorantha, rodeo clowns (the guys who help keep the bull from crushing the bucked off cowboy to pulp while being entertaining) would be Trickster cultists.
