I propose an immediate halt to this discussion as I can already see that it's not going to go anywhere productive. Let's call a truce, agree to disagree and each bask in the belief that we're right and the other is wrong.
Perhaps we can argue about something more meaningful like whether elves have finger and toenails. I say they don't since they're not derived from animal matter. Long tendril-like fingers and toes seems more appropriate to me.
