But wasn't EVERYONE? :-) I wonder if Gbaji doesn't get thrown around like "Anti-Christ" was during the Reformation -- they probably carry equal emotional weight, by the 1600s (either dating scheme).

The more likely answer is just that the Sartar Telmori have "rewritten" their oral history to have themselves on the "right" side -- look what claiming to worship Yelm's Bane has done for the Orlanthi whenever the Solars have been powerful.

Claiming that Gbaji cursed them probably lets the Telmori be as acceptable to the Orlanthi as the Chaos-cursed Cave Trolls are to the rest of Uz. It least gives a rationalization to stop some attacks, and I doubt that the Sartarites bothered to keep records of what really happened, especially since Talor attacked Dorastor from a different direction entirely. The Ralians may claim differently, but why believe the outlanders over the locals, even if they are dangerous one night a week.
