That should read _bears_, natch, not trolls. The relevant point being that bears are large, heavy and thick-pelted and -skulled enough that they can take a lot of damage -- .44 slugs have been known to bounce off a bear's skull. Grizzlies are one nasty predator.

Sorry about that! While I like trolls, I didn't mean to imply they're bulletproof.
