Second, I've finally figured out exactly how I'll deal with Elamal in my campaign. First, nobody will ever join the cult. Second, there will be no cult.
Oh sure, Elmal is a god, and every Sunday of some week of some season, all the Orlanthi get togethor and toss off a couple dozen magic points towards "Orlanth's buddy, the sun", those magic points (more or less) disapear into the vast wasteland of the Godplane and maybe 1 out of 100 get to some random Sun God.
Nobody can get initiated into the cult, because it doesn't have anough worshipers to support a priest. Maybe some bizzare town will have a strong subcult of Elmal, like lots of places have Heler or Ruprecht the Chicken God, but I doubt my PC's will ever find it.
So, I don't have to deal with Yelmalians and Elamli running into each other or divinating questions. ACtually, I can see this:
Yelmalian Priest: "Yelmalio, are you that jerk the Orlanthi call Elmal?" Yelmal: "Elamal....heh heh heh...Muwhahahah hey, I'll tell you when you're dead..."
Oh, and with the Duck Debate going on, I was wondering if there are any Durulz Humakti Heroes? Apparantly some little guy clawed his way onto the Godplane and tought the big H how to fight undead. Is there a Duckritual involved? Do Humakti secretly follow a duckritual to get Turn Undead?
