Just out of self-preservation:

What's the range of these things, and how much matter can I put between me and the missile without forcing it to go around it (i.e. will it always hit an unarmoured location)?

Oh, and does the blood have to be fresh, undiluted, or can it be taken from a rag with dried blood which may have staunched a wound?

Is there a spell to keep blood from clotting? Or an artifact?

If so, can the spell be used on a person rather than on a small amount of blood?

(Is this ZZ's Seal Wound?)

More cans of worms...
