I'm slightly bemused that MGF is taken by Danny to refer to a gaming style, almost a rules system - I always thought it was just an attitude! You can play for MGF in any rules system.
Anyway, to answer Chris's Poll
>(a) Came into Glorantha via gaming, as opposed to fiction? (KoS, Gray,
>etc.)
I began playing RQ around 1983 or so. Though to be fair, I read the introduction the the RQ book (thebrief intro to Glorantha bit) at least a year before I new of the game (possibly before I'd ever played an RPG, I'm not sure), as it was excerpted at the back of a book about computer games, and was fascinated.
>(b) Still play Glorantha-based RPG's (RQ, other home-grown variants)
Absolutely, I have a regular weekly game. I play RQ 3.5 incorporating the bits of RQ4 that I like, and with quite a few of my own extensions.
>(c) Seriously write Gloranthan based essays or fiction (Myths, Stories,
>Poems, etc?)
I try, though there isn't much yet. I feel slightly humbled by the talent of others, and I also tend to write fiction over a very long time frame (I like to mull over ideas). I am much better at writing a more essay style piece. But I have various fiction pieces and myths in various stages of development kicking around my hard drive.
