Elf Sense and Gil Hamilton

In the character creation rules for Aldryami in the Elder Races Book, it says that beginning elves get Elf Sence at 35%, but never describes it. Does anyone have any ideas. (One of the players in my newly resurected Handra game is playing an elf. He wants to play an elf assassin; how this will work out is anyone's guess.)

BTW, Bendict Adamson refered to a Larry Niven story giving the description of a techno soul stealing. The story is "The Defenseless Dead", one of the Gil Hamilton/ARM cycle. It is (or was) reprinted in "The Long Arm of Gil Hamilton"
