Hy Gloranthans,

concerning subjectivity:
Stephen Martin once told me something about the stars being objects, which I "Knew" was "Wrong" because I remembered that somewhere Greg had written/told me that stars are holes in the Sky Dome thru which the light from outside comes in. Stephen and I argued and each claimed to have proof.  The next time I saw Greg I asked
him which it was, knowing I was "Right" and waiting to hear him say it. To my frustration, he said it depends on what your culture's myths make of it. Some see it Stephen's way and some mine. I persisted, asking which would someone see who actually went to a star. Greg again said one would see either a hole with light shining thru or a shining object, depending upon which of the two one's cultural myths made it out to be. Trying again, I asked what would be seen if two groups of heroquesters from different cultures both went to a certain star at the same time. Greg said; "I refuse to be pinned down" on that, but to give me an answer, said that it might be up to the group/culture with the stronger belief. As I was getting over that I slowly drifted away from being a God Learner. Now I know what I am, but I don't know where to put it on Alex's 1-5 scale. I'm Jaldon Toothmaker, Plunderer of Pavis!

Concerning Issaries traders visiting Peloria: Not all "Lunar" merchants are of the Etyries cult. There must be plenty of Issaries traders operating within the Empire. Tarsh, Aggar, and Sylila must have many, and what god do merchants in Carmania follow? (Nick? Help me here!) I don't think "the Lunars" try to supress trade, and they are known for their tolerance. The cult of Etyries probably hasn't yet become so widely established that traders who follow other gods can be heavily restricted.

He Who Fears Violence Fears Himself! Daniel P.S. I am ten years older than Nick, and ten younger than Greg. Thirty-Eight
