Chris Bell asks:

> be an assassin or spy cult? =

Something like that. In the full cult writeup printed in Tales #16 (just out, still available, etc.), the upper levels of the DX cult include an organisation called the Black Army, the Empire's internal security forces=

(think of the KGB or Gestapo), also known as the "Unspoken Word".

All Danfive Xaron cultists wear chains, manacles, etc: to teach them submission and penitence when they join the cult, and as a reminder if th= ey
remain with it after learning the beauty of the Righteous Life. Overseers=

(Rune Lords) in the cult might well learn chain-fighting martial arts, given that this was the thrust of your previous post.

The chief Lunar assassins' cult would be the mysterious Blue Moon (writte= n
up in Troll Gods). Danfive Xaron is not an assassin cult, though an assassin or other murder would be warmly welcomed into the Penitentiary, and it's not inconceivable that the cult might find some use for his "special skills" after his release - just as they do with all the thieves= ,
forgers, criminal crafters and violent psychopaths...

Definitely, yes. The Genertela Book includes illustrations of Kralori martial artists of the Centipede and Dragon styles. And everyone knows (o= r
ought to know) that Sandy Petersen is a martial arts flicks loon.

Try reading "The Golden Trade of the Moors", by Edward Bovill: a wonderfu= l
history of Western Africa. I'm sure there are other, better books out there, but this one is Great Fun.

A novel in the right part of the world (sometimes) is "Leo the African", = by
Amin Maalouf. And Jolly Good Stuff it is too.
