The ultimate expression of this would be when your wife goes on a Maran Gor HQ... "Oh no, not the Mother-in-Law's _again_." ;-)

That's one way to look at it, I suppose. I don't know that I'd go so far as to say this could happen "unwittingly" (much less "unwillingly"), but I think that for your closest kith and kin, sworn members of your personal Ring, then this support can certainly be implicit than than necessarily explicit. For your clan, and other members of your cult, I think some more direct expression of support would generally be required.

For anyone who gets "support" beyond this sort of level, particularly if it's in the form of actual POW sacrifices, then "worship" starts to become a more applicable term...
