It seems that I was unclear (not unusual, I know). I was going on about doing a 7-year quest dutrin a 14-day ritual, and said:
> Or rather, you will experience

> days have passed at home. (And, I suspect, you'll only get 14 days worth

Perhaps not surprisngly, Benedict got confused:
> Why should you receive years worth of damage but only days worth of
> healing? Is the power of Death different from Fertility in its scaling
> on HQs? Is Chalana Arroy useless on the LBQ?
Not at all. I was talking about healing - sitting around for a few weeks waiting for your arm to get better. If you're lucky enough to have enough Healing Spells for the entire quest, without stopping to rest up and get MP back, good for you.

> Someone playing Orlanth Frees Heler (when he kills the water dragon)

Well, he passes the Test of Healing in the LBQ. But in any case, he has as much power as anyone else to wake up the next morning and find that his injuries are less painful than they were the day before.

All I was suggesting was that naturally time-dependant processes are tied to real Time, not HP time (since that's pretty vague anyway). So you only need food for 14 days - useful! You only need 14 days worth of sleep. Those little practical problems that story-tellers ignore - can be ignored! But being hit with a Big Axe is not time-dependant, so you get the whole lot of it.
