If I can usefully put this into numbers, I'd like to say that the formula for when a Hero is forced from the Mundane Plane should look something like this:

Compare the Hero's POW with:

{The POW invested in creating his Hero Quest Ring(s)} PLUS

{The POW invested in creating the Effects of the HeroQuest(s) DIVIDED BY
Number of living members of the Ring} PLUS

{The POW invested by members of the Hero's Cult in Magic derived from
the Cult DIVIDED BY Some Convienent Number Like 100}

It can be seen that the longer Ring members live and the smaller the number of members of the Cult the longer the Hero gets to stay on the Mundane Plane.
