I agree with this - in fact, I think geting the Flame to respond to you in some way is a part of the Crown Test.

Agreed. To my mind, to "re-forge the Ring of Sartar" means uniting the tribes. She didn't do this in 1613: she certainly did in 1625. But there was still a delay before relighting the Flame. So we have identified two pre-requisites, and should go looking for more.

I can find two possibles:
a) it has to be relit on Sartar's HHD (at least, this makes it easier). But she delayed two years, not one: we need more. b) while we know that Sartar's spirit is "alive, someplace", he may well be in a Lunar trap - a cheaper version of what they used on Treeleaper, Sheng, etc., such as Kallyr saw demoed at close range, courtesy of Fazzur. So he had to be rescued. A modified LBQ would do the job nicely - - a bit easier than the "real" thing, since Sartar isn't actually dead, but watch out for Lunar interference. Now, what happens between Dangerford and the relighting? What a coincidence...

Well, one can't argue with personal preferences. That's the way "my" Kallyr thinks of herself, too. A warrior - not necessarily a leader, even. She just keeps landing herself with jobs because she sees they've got to be done, and there's no-one else (no-one she trusts, anyway) to do them. In fact she's wrong about her own abilities - she's a even better magician/HQer than she is a warrior, especially towards the end of her career.

I was thinking of it as "support points". I don't think she *needs* it, either - but she thinks she does.

Did the Flame get put out again after Argrath was finally, definitely, King? I thought not, but could be wrong - I lose interest after 1630. If the Flame is still going, the brazier is still where it was. Nice idea, though.
