And I recall playing a farmers wife in a Harn game - 8 lb. skillet vs. 8 lb. broadsword fights etc. lotsa fun ;-), and as a rather burly 16yo farm girl/woman I often won once I learned how to weild the pan!

Hmmm. I think not so much loose belief, as gain insight. I realise as an illuminate that my taxes are neccisary to maintain the roads that make it possible to travel to the CON, even if paying them makes me unable to afford to go, I can reconcile the conflict, flaunt the law and hijack a bus! >};-{>
But yes, I understand that there is a possiblitiy of conflict of
world-view, which I think makes for MGF. Imagine some poor
Republican/Democrat (GL) waking up in the morning, being illuminated, and
realising they should have been voting Democrat/Republican all along, since
economic-rationalism/humanism (Runequest-sight) is as big a sham as any
other world view. Dang that illumnination! It allows us however to be
freed to develop other ideas.

Maybe, like Pendragon, for MGF, the characters could have scores for Illumination, Emlightenment, RuneQuest-Sight, Piety, etc ... so we can get some Vampire (tm) style *angst*, or Cthulhu-esque inSANity into our Glorantha. The horror, the horror. Yay!!
