Here follows a public apology. Due to inebriation of too many Troll Strength drinks, the user of the Mostali terminal was unable to properly focus on Joerg's Second Name. The suggestion that the Unit known as Nikk was, in fact, ineffective and suffering from low constitution when it came to the aforesaid drinks is, obviously, incorrect.

Arkati Generals

>IMO they came from different parts of Ralios. One likely from northwestern
>Ralios, i.e. around Otkorion. Another should be based around Naskorion, IMO,
>leaving the third anywhere else.

Just a point, Mike did give us his own ideas about the origin of the generals.

>IMO most generals/companions of Arkat ended up dead, or at least mortally
>wounded.

Agreed. In general, *everyone* around Arkat ended up dead, mortally wounded, corrupted, broke, despair filled and generally incapable of living in the post-Gbaji era.

>Statham Well could well be his private recluse, without any companions.

I doubt it, he went there to Apothesis, it'd get lonely with no-one around. BTW, an off-topic subject, is my idea that the reincarnations of Arkat that appear in the Hero Wars are the result of HQing by the Old Arkat Kult Alliance to open the paths to Statham Well again. In doing so, Arkat returns once more.

>If the character is from Safelster, his spiritual home will likely be
>the Old Arkat Kult Alliance, in one of many different Arkat cults.

Hmm, I think that the OAKA are in fact a select subset of society. Smaller than any of the other Arkati cults, it's heretical thinking means it must remain underground. Either that, or it's machinations within the politics of the Safelster mean being secret will help it inflitrate the Felster region easier. I think most Church members revere St. Arkat the Liberator, and other people sometimes attach themselves to other Arkati sects for various regions. Naskorion may revere St. Arkat Chaosbane rather than the Liberator. I don't believe there is any connection between the Arkati sects and the Old Arkat Kult Alliance.

>Each limited to small numbers of adherents - 10,000 would be extremely
large, 200
>seems most likely.

I think most of the main sects, Great Arkat, Chaosbane, Decevier, Peacemaker etc... all have numbers within the thousands. This is the only thing tht keeps them going. Persecuted by the Churches, by other Arkati sects and by people in general, only their membership and fanatical following keeps them afloat. I envisage lots of street battles between the varying sects of Arkatism.

>Arkat the Destroyer could be the aspect which laid Dorastor waste (before it
>was reawakened by the God Learner idiots who were trapped by Ralzakark).

You can't blame the God Learner's, they were just unwittin dupes summoned there when Ralzakark used his Yelmic HeroQuests to bring Orlantus and his companions to Hell (who the God Learner's took the place of).

Trolls

Nick Brooke:

>Trolls are scary, evil monsters to those Orlanthi who live near them; and
the opinions
> of those Orlanthi who don't hardly matter, now, do they?

IMG the Trolls are thought of as being no better than chaos. They are considered to be those people who followed the Evil Emperor to Hell after Orlanth bravely slew him. When these people returned, their physical appearance matched the corruptness of their souls, and was seen as Divine Retribution. They are all thought of as servants of the Evil Emperor.

All IMHO,
