Hello Gloranthans,

I have some questions about Myth of Yanafal Tarnils, especially after  reading FS, Entekosiad and Carmanian stuffs on the web.

Question 1: Whom did Duke Yanafal worship ?

For both the Dara Happan and the Carmanian didn't worship barbarian  gods, nobleman like him must not have worshipped Humakt. Certainly  Humakt's name doesn't appear among many Carmanian gods.

If so, Duke Yanafal must have worshipped ...

(a) ... a Carmanian Death God just like Humakt. Southern barbarians

     call Yanafal's Death God "Humakt".
(b) ... a Carmanian god of knight but was excommunicated by the cult

when he was exiled from Yuthupa. He wandered and joined barbaric
Humakt cult, became a cult hero, and at last betrayed him at Four
Arrows of Light Battle (probably he followed Arkat's Path) .

(c) ... Humakt. Humakt was worshipped around Yuthupa.

I think (b) is possible, but there is some problems in (b) theory  like "Was there any necessity for Humakt to join Four Arrows of Light  Battle if he was not a Carmanian war god ? "

Question 2: Yanfal the Ram and Warrior

He has a title "Ram and Warrior". I wonder whether this "Ram" means  "an adult male sheep" or "a machine that repeatedly drops or pushes  a weight onto or into something".

 Question 3: His associated rune

In "Cult of Danfive Xaron" of Tales #16, DX has "Dark Moon" rune.  If it represents Dying Moon, does Yanafal Tarnils have "Full-Half  Moon" rune ?

 thank you for your notice.
