I use the "Ceremony" skill for this purpose, given that it has little else effect in RQ3.

I always used the RuneQuest campaign style outlined in the Vikings Box, which served my campaigns very well, and allowed the passage of some time without ageing the characters too much. This helps character roleplaying rather than family roleplaying, both of which have their advantages and disadvantages.

I can't speak for the Pamaltelan blues, but it seems that the Pelorian blues' hue disappeared without much trace in the Pelandan populace. Of course, they may not have been of dark Veldang tone of skin, but at least the God Learners seem to have believed them of the same religious, and possibly racial, stock, tied to Annilla and the seas.

In Fonrit, about one quarter of the populace is said to be of mixed race. Dark Brown and Dark Blue blend to some sort of black, or very dark brown...
