Convulsion 4 will be held July 24-27 1998 at College Hall, Leicester University, UK: that's the same venue as the first two Cons, which recently underwent a major refurbishment. Our Guests of Honour are to be Greg Stafford, Sandy Petersen and the Mighty MOB. The Con's format will be as in previous years: a hard Gloranthan centre, with a chewy coating of other Chaosium games and a nutty covering of anything  else people are interested in doing (specifically including freeforms). We fully expect a glittering constellation of figures from the very firmament of Gaming Heaven to attend (and probably a few Old Gaming Farts we haven't the heart to expel as well).

Lewis Jardine is the man to contact: <jardine_at_rmcs.cranfield.ac.uk>. Or, if snail-mails are your thing:

        43 Windermere
         Liden
          Swindon
           Wiltshire
            SN3 6JZ
             U.K.

Prices will almost certainly be as follows (all in UK pounds):

        Membership: 20 quid
        Non-residential: 10 quid extra
        Accommodation: 20/36/50 quid for 1, 2 or 3 nights B&B
Freeform(s): 5-10 quid extra per game to cover costs

But don't send any money yet: wait till we get the forms out, or 'til you hear from Lewis (the Money & Memberships man)! This is just FYI, so you can start saving up for a treat in eight months' time.

On behalf of the committee, I'm sorry we haven't *quite* finished producing the initial sign-up information for the Con -- please rest assured that this is a scheduling hitch, not a disaster. The sign-up forms will be mailed out with Tales #17 around Christmas, but if you want to register your interest with Lewis ahead of that, you're very welcome. (We're also likely to distribute sign-up and pre-convention info over a website; all this new technology and we *still* can't answer a simple question!).

Other committee members include the familiar faces of Colin Phillips, David Scott, and Rick Meints. We have demoted has-beens David Hall and Kevin Jacklin to mere Guest status in a vicious coup, but they'll be attending anyway just to spite us (and to help produce "Reaching Moon Megacorp's Life of Moonson", the featured 50-player freeform).

Appetite whetted? Let Lewis know!
