Having a Babsi character amongst the PCs in the last campaign we had to do some work on the home life of such a character, and the position in society.

We assumed that in general, career initiates of Babeester Gor were not common, but that each clan steading would have at least an Ernalda shrine. So who would guard them? The conclusion was that the bulk of Babeester Gor initiates would be bored teenage girls with axes who are there as much to get them personally out of the way for a while, either as punishment or due to general ineptitude in other tasks; and who would in the main eventually leave the cult for more socially acceptable positions in due course (but some might end up as temple guardians at larger worship sites). Only a few would be dedicated and disturbed enough to volunteer for the job, and these are likely to be the ones picked upon by the few priestesses or acolytes amongst the tribe for a longer dedication to the Avenging Daughter.

Assuming the game world works anywhere like the description made by the RQ3 rules, then such initiates would be encouraged towards the fast track towards qualification for
"rune level"; such characters are also likely to be trouble
makers who are best sent off to make trouble somewhere else to cool down a bit.

The worship of Ty Kora Tek would also fill a social niche; with each clan having at least one Corpse Woman, giving some usefulness for old and widowed women without near surviving relatives. This would possibly be a "career development" for those few Babsi who survive long enough to be considered
"old".

The Voria devotee will serve as a "professional aunt" within her tribe, providing the sort of assistance with child rearing expected from the extended family. The role would also involve some aspects of education, simple acculturation material such as the local equivalent of "Bible Stories". It would also serve some of the functions of a preparation for motherhood, for at least some of the initiates (including those who might consider eventually graduating to a significant position in the Ernalda cult).
