Vormain (VanRuKoku) ----- The Isles of Milion Gods
I. Geography
Vormain (VanRuKoku) is located far east of Kralorera. It is
said that there are ten thousands islands in Vormain. Someone says
more than a houndred thousand isles are there. Official Documents count
ten thousands isles, but no one can tell collectlly. Tweleve Main Isles
(involved many small islands around) are called "Tweleve Prefecture".
There are huge area where no human lives. Natives say that in such lands a lot of supernatural beings and Ki (trolls) are wondering. Most of the isles are covered with forest of oak and other flora of temperate zone. The climate is mostly mild and rains moderately.
The capital of VanRuKoku is EdoMiyo (means Emperor/Empress's Gate), where OoKimi(GodKings) lives in.
II. People
People living in VanRuKoku is almost so-called Kraroli, who have black hair and black/brown eyes, and yellow skin. They have been ruled by single political power since ancient times, but in frontier isles there are many folks who worship their own god (Low Gods) and maintain their unique culture since Gods' Time .
III. Politics
As public principles, OoKimi, who are the High Priest and descendant of VanSeiKiHi, is the only ruler of the Milion Isles for All Time. Actually, however, there have been a lot of feudal lords and rules their land and fought against each other. OoKimi had been respected but merely an arbitrator between the Lords.
Now, there is no OoKimi. Wars among Lords occur frequently and Magical Isolation of VanRuKoku is almost broken. This may be the begining of the Hero Wars of VanRuKoku.
IV. Mythos and History
In Creation time, there were One Ocean. High gods of the Heaven spreaded jewels over the Ocean and it became milion isles.
Gods and Spirits and cratures came birth among the forests. They struggled each other and there was no virtue, no code. TienTei ordered VanSeiKiHi to rule them. She traveled all isles. Sometime She conquered enemys, sometime she talked with them. Finally She enthroned the Empress of Milion Isles.
But there comes HiYami, the Scarlet Darkness, the Hunger, god of Ki(trolls). He slew all sons and daughters of Pricess except one. VanSeiKiHi was shocked and hide in the Holy Rock Door of West. Then came the Dark Era, there was no sun, no virtue, no wisdom. Many people, spirit, gods are destroyed by Demons.
There were many heroic deed to bring back the Sun Goddess. Wondering One slew Great Serpent and make its body pillar between Earth and Sky. ShidoFuhai fought KuKenSin and learn how to purify the world from Chaos by power of Death and Misogi. MaGaTu, the Killing King destroy all thing he saw and cleaned the world. etc.
Finally, the Hero King who was the descendant of last blood of VanSeiKiHi went to the Center of the World and made Compromise of Eternity, called VanRuZain, which conected the High Gods and Low Gods. That was the time when the Sun Goddess rose again. The Lands of VanSeiKiHi were isolated by the Power of Purity of ShidoFuhai from outer world. Peace came back again.
Since the Dawn, There were invasion from Kralorera three times. Firstly, Dragon Emperor of Kralorera invaded by force. Samurais fought back them. Secondly, they invaded by the religion and attempted to absorb Gods of VanRuKoku in The Dragon Pantheon. Great heroquests took place and make them obey the Compromise on the contrary. Thirdly, False Dragon Ring (i.e. God Learners) invaded. ChiYn TaiSin clarify a part of God Learners' Secret and protested them since they were destroyed by the Power of VanSeiKiHi and Compromise.
Isolation of VanRuKoku has been maintained, but the traders and pirates is going to Kralorera and other outer world recently. The day may come when Samurais go forth and fight against Genertelan or Pamaltelan people.
V. Gods of Vormain
HIGH GODS They are Gods of ruler class. Great Lords worship their ancestral Founder which is sub-cult of VanSeiKiHi. Samurais worship ShidoFuhai. They are mixture of Ancestral Worship and Divine Worship. Many of cults of VanRuKoku is objected to tame the Ancestors.
TienTei: TienTei means "Emperor of Heaven". He is the Highest Lord of Gods of Vormain. He was lost during Dark Era and no one worship him now. God Learners thought he should be Creator (or Yelm?).
VanSeiKiHi: VanSeiKiHi means "Princess of All Time". She is the Sun Goddess and Protectress of the Tweleve Isles. She is the source of Wisdom. GodKing and HighPriestess of VanSeiKihi is the rulers of VanRuKoku. Westerners often call her "Varzain", and even think she would be a "male" god. That is wrong, of course.
When she shows her Cruel Face, she is the Goddess of Sun Lay which bring drought and destroy everyone who don't obey her.
ShidoFuhai: ShidoFuhai means "Master Samurai". He is the god of Death and Purity. His worshipers claim "Purification through Death", and strictly obey their code of "Shi" (means Samurai, or Death). He is the god who had isolated the VanRuKoku from outer world and close the doors against foreigners since Dawn.
TiKei TaiSin: TiKei Taishin means "Graat Goddees of Earth Fertility". She is Fox Goddess and Goddess of Five Crops. She is a very popular deity. When she shows her Cruel Side, she is recognized as goddess of fanatics.
ChiYn TaiSin: ChiYn Taisin means "Great God of Wisodm House". He is the god of Horrible Knowlage of Cosmos. He is source of Way of Om, a school of Eastern Sorcery(?). Few people know that he is the god worshipped by KuSha (Ninjas).
Other High Gods:
Way of Gou, TheYa, Wondering One (Trickster), KuKenSin (God of Death Blade),
Metsyla (God of Enlightment), etc.
LOW GODS There are many gods, spirits, demons and heroes conqured by High Gods. They can be worshiped when they follows VanRuZain (Compromise of the Eternity). Most of them are gods or spirits of vice.
TouSanKu: TouSanKu means "Ten Beasts Binded By Chains". He is God of Sea Serpent, Barracuda, etc. He is the champion of outlaws and known as "Tsankth" by foreign people.
Other Low Gods:
HiYami(Scarlet Darkness), Great Ancestors, the Moon Gods, MaGaTu
(Killing King), KoRai(Lightning Thunder), gods of eastern isles, and
many spirits cults etc.
Foreign Cults (Most of them are banned): Church of Western Sorcerers, Path of Immanent Mastery, etc.
