Your player is essentially correct: Yanafal Tarnils is widely regarded as the Lunar equivalent of Humakt. We hope to print the full cult write-up in the next issue of "Tales of the Reaching Moon", some time this winter, which should help bring out some of the major features. In the meantime, you can find archive material in the Digest from earlier this year: try V4 #371 (29 April 1997) and succeeding posts.
I believe Nikk Effingham has a writeup for YT on his homepage, though I haven't checked this to avoid polluting my own ideas...
