Stephen said, about Rootless elves
Um, in what way are these 'Rootless' elves different from Rootless Elves?
My personal intepretation is that an elf who doesn't _want_ to be part of
Aldrya is, by _definition_ rootless --

According to the Cults of Prax definition, IIRC, A Rootless elf is one who is not permitted to join the cult of Aldrya (they admit 95% of elves no problem, but that one in twenty just can't join), while a Renegade is one who can join the cult but chooses not too. The Rootless elves are in general loved but pitied, and join useful cults (like Issaries, Chalana Arroy) instead, the Renegades are often loathed. An elf who doesn't _want_ to be part of Aldrya is technically Renegade, not Rootless.

There was a theory advanced on the digest recently that the Rootless elves are actually deficient in some subtle part of their elf sense, and thus may not join the cult because they can't hear Aldryas call (or at least, may not progress beyond 'Children of the Forest', the same as non-Aldryami).

        Cheers
